Hello, Lindy's fans!

Today it's Neena Arora, on the blog with yummy altered wood pineapple. These days, I am so much in love with a tropical theme, but I did not have enough chipboard embellishments coordinating the theme. So today I will also show you how to create your own embellishments.

Below is the basic process and the link to the video you can find at the end of the post.

Base work and making chalk paint with Lindy's magical:

  • Prime the wooden base with white gesso.
  • Next, to make the chalk paint mix the gesso with "Yellow rose of texas" and "summer lovin 'sun".
  • Apply it on the wooden base with a knife and heat dry it.
  • Add some black script using the stamp.
  • Now cover it with crackle paint with a brush.
  • Heat dry it and let the crackle appear.
  • Next, add more colors with "Bling-Y Blonde" and "Red hot poker orange" spray with a brush. Spray some water and let the color flow and set inside the cracks.
  • Next, color the Leafy part with "Greased lightnin 'green" spray and let it dry [I added texture to it later as I was feeling it a little empty in comparison to the bottom part]

Preparing embellishments:

  • Heat emboss the background and frame chipboard with Silence is golden EP.
  • Again heat emboss the die-cut leaves with merry go round green EP and chateau rose EP
  • Next to make more big size palm leaves randomly color the 4 "x4" paper with "steampunk sepia" and "Pink Ladies pink" sprays. Next, score it on equal intervals of 1/4 ". Fold it from scored lines and make a fan then cut it diagonally from the ends and fold it from the center.
  • Similarly, color the 3 "x3" size paper with "Greased lightnin 'green and Frosty forest green" sprays and cut it into the shape of a leaf and then fan-fold it.
  • Draw a flamingo on cardboard and cut it. cover it with white gesso and add some texture. Next, color it with Hibiscus rose, Pink Ladies pink, California poppy gold, and sidewalk chalk sprays. heat dry it and distress it with brown archival ink.

Composition:

  • After all prep work strat building the composition.
  • First, adhere the background chipboard to the pineapple's bottom part. Paste the frame to the paper and paste the flamingo. It will be the main element to show up.
  • Next, add paper palm leaves, fussy cuts and flowers.
  • Also, create a small composition on the top left part.
  • To finish, adorned with glitter, pearls shakers and sequins.
